Having just relocated from Purley Sports Club to our new ground at Walcountian Blues, Purley ladies are looking forward to another successful season in 2007-2008.
2005-2006 saw us win the Southern Premier League in style - but we didnt manage to retain our crown for the 2006-2007 season, placing 7th in the league. However, we reached the semi-finals at the All England Clubs & Colleges tournament held at Luton in March, and have entered teams in various friendly tournaments this year such as Stockport 8s and Bluesfest.
We currently play in the Southern Premier League, where we host two home matches each season and play the remainder away. In addition to playing in the league, we enter a team into the Rosebowl tournament, which is usually hosted by Clapham. These matches are a great opportunity for juniors to get involved, as they provide a platform to move from school games to club games.
We have a thriving junior section which pulls in players from various schools in the area, but we are always looking for new players to join us, even if you have not picked up a stick in ages! So do not hesitate to come along to one of our training sessions all you need is a mouthguard, a stick and enthusiasm!
Training will start in September and will be on Wednesday evenings from 19.30 until 21.00 - but check here for the latest updates on fixtures and training for the forthcoming season!
